Summer is finallllly here, kinda. This week was hectic and hard… I always find that after travel I need a solid week to recharge. I blame the plane air. One of the biggest struggles I have with travel is the absolute havoc it wreaks on my body. I’m talking digestion issues, sleep problems, water retention, and leaving me with the dullest skin ever. Seriously. I’ve always been a bit more on the dry side, to begin with, but after a long flight… I turn into Shrek. Enter Aveeno.
I’ve been kinda loving Aveeno Active Naturals lately. I will admit that I’ve never been good with the whole body moisturizing, It’s tedious and I hate having to wait for it to soak in before I get dressed. Girl’s got places to be! Desperate times call for desperate measures and I’ve promised myself some time every day to lather up with Aveeno. The Active Naturals Oatmeal line is “yogurt inspired” which really caught my eye considering yogurt and oatmeal are my breakfast every day.
It’s been like a little treat to indulge myself at home every day by just taking that extra time to soothe my dull and tired skin. The Aveeno Body Yogurt soaks in so fast, which probably shows how much TLC my skin needs.
Besides using the body yogurt I’ve been taking extra time in the shower with the Yogurt Body Wash. The wash doesn’t strip my skin and leaves me feeling soft instead of tacky. The body wash is creamy and feels like velvet in the shower, I love that the scent is subtle but delicious. Serious yogurt vibes. After a hot shower, I feel instantly revitalized and ready to take on the world.
I think it’s so vital to take that extra time to yourself every day. Sometimes we focus so much on treating our faces with love that we forget about our whole bodies. Plus, it’s swimsuit season which means extra time in the sun. I’m headed to Mexico next week and you better believe I’ll be packing my Aveeno.
